Paul McCartney's first photo book, 1964: Eyes of the Stormwas published this week.

In 2020, he came upon close to a thousand photos he took with his 35-millimeter camera in 1963 and '64 when Beatlemania erupted.

275 of them, taken in six cities -- Liverpool, London, Paris, New York, Washington, D.C. and Miami -- are spread across the book's 336 pages, which he wrote the foreword for.

The book accompanies a new exhibition, Paul McCartney Photographs 1963-64: Eyes of the Storm, which runs at the National Portrait Gallery in London from June 28th to October 1st.

McCartney will chat about the book with Conan O'Brien for a recording of his podcast, Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, this Thursday at 6 p.m. ET at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center in New York as part of the Tribeca Festival.

He'll also chat with actor Stanley Tucci on June 29th at the National Portrait Gallery, and it will be livestreamed starting at 9:00 a.m. ET. Tickets are available at NPG.org.uk.

Ringo Starr published a similar book, Photograph, in 2013.
