The Ohio State University Marching Band paid tribute to Rush and their late drummer Neil Peart Saturday afternoon by doing a medley of eight of songs during the halftime of the Ohio State - Maryland game at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

To accomplish this, they added 20 tom drums and 20 extra cymbals mounted on four racks.

They did snippets of:

  • 2112
  • The Spirit of Radio
  • Limelight
  • Closer to the Heart
  • Fly By Night
  • Red Barchetta
  • YYZ
  • Tom Sawyer

Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson were quickly made aware of the honor and they responded by saying, "We're speechless... With heartfelt thanks for the incredibly complex and extraordinary piece of work…Neil would have loved it. Totally mind blown! Respect!!!"
