Paul McCartney held a Facebook Live question and answer session yesterday (Wednesday) at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, the school he founded in his hometown.
In an event hosted by former Pulp singer Jarvis Cocker, Paul talked about going to the school, writing and recording with The Beatles, visiting Liverpool, his new album Egypt Station, people who've covered his songs, and quite a few funny stories. In one of those stories, he invited Stevie Wonder to his house for lunch and Stevie didn't show up until 10 p.m. In another, George Harrison's father paid a visit to their school the day after his son was disciplined with a strike on the hand with a cane.
Afterward, Paul and his band did an acoustic set featuring the first performance of The Beatles' "From Me to You" since 1964.
