Yet another big-name guest appears on the upcoming Foo Fighters album -- Paul McCartney.
Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins tell ET Canada that Macca doesn't sing on the album -- he plays drums. Grohl says, "He’s a pal. We’ve known him for a long. He’s great. He’s the most wonderful person in the world. He’s a great guy.”
Hawkins adds, "He hadn’t even heard of the song. He comes in and Dave picked up an acoustic and showed him real quick. He sat on his special drum set that his tech set up for him. I sat there with a drumstick conducting. He did two takes."
McCartney and Grohl have been friends for years and even won a Grammy for their collaboration “Cut Me Some Slack" from the Sound City documentary. Other guests on Concrete and Gold, which is due out September 15th, include Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men and a secret vocalist who Grohl says is more than just one of the biggest pop stars in the world.
Paul has drummed on many of his solo hits, and even a few Beatles classics. So this could be good.
