Paul McCartney will support this November's paperback publication of his 2021 book, The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present, by co-hosting a podcast with his co-author, poet Paul Muldoon.
McCartney: A Life in Lyrics is described as a "combination master class, memoi, and improvised journey with each episode focusing on one song from his catalog -- spanning his entire career."
McCartney and Muldoon will "dissect the people, experiences, and art that inspired McCartney’s songwriting."
Muldoon says, “When we listened back to the tapes, we realized there was something very special happening in these conversations. It was McCartney unfiltered.”
Season one features 12 episodes that include discussions about “Eleanor Rigby,” “Back in the USSR,” “Let It Be,” “Penny Lane,” “Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey,” "Live and Let Die,” “Magical Mystery Tour” and many others.
It will debut on September 20th, followed by season two with 12 more episodes in February. You can listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple, Spotify and wherever podcasts are available.
