LISA'S ANIMAL TALES: FAMILY DRIVES 2,600 MILES TO ADOPT DOG

A husky with a facial deformity causing a lopsided grin has been adopted by a family in Seattle.

Sherry Lankston, her children, and their dog made the trek from Seattle to San Diego (1,300 miles each way!) in a winter storm to adopt the pup they only saw in pictures.

They say Harvey the husky immediately caught their family's eye when they saw a post of him on the San Diego Humane Society's social media site. Lankston says she saw that silly grin and knew they had to road trip more than 13-hundred miles to San Diego.
