"Popeye" Begs for Cash to Save Arms After Injecting Them with Synthol Oil

A Russian man who has been dubbed "Popeye" is begging for money because he injected synthol oil in his arms and they are now starting to deteriorate.

22-year-old Kirill Tereshin says he needs about 3 million Russian Rubles, or around $48,000 USD to pay for the treatment to have a doctor remove all of the synthol from his arms in hopes of saving them. Earlier this year, doctors warned him that his arms could have to be amputated.

"At the moment, my arms are in a bad state and are reddening," he says in the video.

Synthol oil injections have allegedly caused tissue fibrosis then later necrosis. Tereshin reportedly collapsed while taking part in a music video shoot in Russia.
