When Apple revealed last week they would be selling a monitor STAND for $999, people were upset. Heck, the actual monitor the stand was designed for seems like a bargain at $4,999 compared to a piece of aluminum that costs 20% of the price of the screen itself.
An Apple engineer was interviewed and tells the story behind how Apple came up with the idea for the Pro Stand.
This video clip has been re-posted and re-subtitled so many times at this point that you'd think it would have lost its luster, but I can't help but laugh with this dude because it makes perfect sense for such a ridiculous monitor stand.
