California has begun construction on the world’s largest animal crossing.

The 200-plus-foot bridge will go over busy U.S Highway 101, just north of Los Angeles. The Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing will allow mountain lions, deer, coyotes, and other wildlife to cross safely over the busy freeway and into the Santa Monica Mountains.

The majority of the $90 million price tag came from private donations.
