Opening day has turned out to be a bust for baseball fans in the DMV.

The Orioles-Red Sox game in Boston was postponed because of rain and is expected to be played tomorrow.

For the Nationals, it's a different story. The scheduled game tonight between the Nationals and the Mets at Nationals Park has been postponed because of ongoing contact tracing involving members of the Nationals organization.

A Nationals player has tested positive for the virus. He was in close contact with four other players and a staff member. All five are currently in quarantine.

Out of an abundance of caution, the game will not be made up on Friday. Major League Baseball will continue to provide updates and we'll keep you posted as we learn more.

The next scheduled Nationals game is on Saturday. Fingers crossed that they will be able to play it.
