It's hard to believe it's been almost 40 years since we lost John Lennon on Dec. 8, 1980. He would've been 80 years old on Friday, Oct. 9.
I often wonder how his career would've progressed into the '80s, '90s and beyond. Would he have started touring again? Would there have been a Beatles reunion? At the time of his death, he was enjoying a creative resurgence and was writing and recording again. We'll never know, but we will always have the tremendous library of music he left behind.
