The final year of John Lennon’s life will be the basis of an upcoming documentary.
This December marks the 40th anniversary of his emergence with the album Double Fantasy, only to have it shattered by his shocking death outside his New York apartment building on December 8th.
Reda Films, the company behind the Nat Geo series Brothers in War, will tell that story with interviews and never-before-seen archive material. Producer Ken Womack will also rely on his soon-to-be-published book John Lennon 1980: The Final Days in the Life of Beatle John.
Not sure if John's family has approved this project. It will be interesting to see because the John Lennon who lived in New York with Yoko and young Sean was a different person than the one who was front and center during Beatlemania.
It's hard to believe that John would have turned 80 this fall. Heck, Ringo hits the big 8-0 in July!!
