On Monday Night Football, the New York Giants played the Dallas Cowboys, but it was a black cat that most people were watching.
The feral feline darted onto the MetLife Stadium field and delayed the game for three minutes. The black cat ran from the 50 yard line to the end zone. Then it froze in terror as the crowd roared with excitement. Eventually, state troopers chased the little furry guy into an exit under the stadium.
At the time, the home town team had outscored their division rivals Dallas Cowboys, 9-3. But after the black cat’s visit the Cowboys outscored the Giants 34-9 to win the game 37-18.
Black cat or not, the odds were never in the Giants’ favor.
