NIRVANA: COBAIN GUITAR AND SWEATER UP FOR AUCTION THIS MONTH

Two iconic Kurt Cobain items will go on the auction block this month.

The late Nirvana frontman's custom-built left-handed Fender Mustang guitar used on the In Utero tour and the vintage olive-green cardigan he wore for their MTV Unplugged taping in 1993 are part of Julien's Auctions "Icons & Idols" auction on October 25th and 26th in Beverly Hills, California.

Other items going up for bids at the event include handwritten lyrics from Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and Bruce Springsteen; an original 1978 self-portrait drawn in charcoal with pen and ink on paper by David Bowie; and a vintage quarter-inch magnetic tape recording featuring approximately 90 minutes of a previously unreleased performance by Big Brother and the Holding Company in 1967.
