Back in April Bruce Springsteen said he expected to release more video material from his vaults. And after posting concerts from 2006 and 2012 in recent months, he's gone really far back in time.
Performances of “Spirit in the Night” and “Wild Billy’s Circus Story” from May 1st, 1973 are up on his YouTube channel. Springsteen and his band -- which wasn't called the E Street Band yet -- played the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles as the opening act for Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show and New Riders of the Purple Sage.
And “Wild Billy’s Circus Story” wouldn't be released until six months after this show on The Wild, The Innocent and the E Street Shuffle.
