While Budweiser, Miller and Coors remain America's best known beers, many famous brews that some of us remember from college parties are no more -- or much less widely available.
Schlitz was the beer that made Milwaukee famous. But the once-familiar brown and white logo has become rather scarce since the early '80s.
The same fate overtook Stroh's, Ballantine, Rheingold, Schmidt's, Rainier and Falstaff.
Of course, things have shifted because of the rise of craft beers and the availability of more imported beers.
So, it’s not all bad news for beer lovers. But, it’s still sad to know that old favorites we used to know just aren’t around anymore.
I remember drinking Meister Brau during college (not because it was great, but because it was cheap!), but haven't seen it in years!
What was your go-to beer back in the day? You can post to my facebook page here, and please 'like' the page if you get a chance. I'd appreciate it!
