Don't expect Ace Frehley to turn up at dates on KISS 's The End tour. The guitarist fired back after Gene Simmons said he and Peter Criss were "fired three times for drugs, alcohol [and] bad behavior" in a recent interview with Guitar World .
Ace took to Facebook to defend himself, writing, "Gene, your memory is really incorrect!…I was NEVER FIRED from KISS, I quit twice (not 3-times) of my own free will, because you and Paul are control freaks, untrustworthy and were too difficult to work with!"
He added that Gene's "slanderous remarks" cost him "millions of dollars" and he maintained that he's "12-years sober."
Ace also pointed out that he's "the most successful solo artist" from the original KISS lineup and accused Simmons and Stanley of trying to "derail" his solo career "multiple times over the years."
Perhaps the biggest bombshell, after calling Gene a "sex addict" he claimed that Simmons "groped and propositioned" his wife.
Finally, Ace says "now the gloves are off" and "without a complete and heartfelt apology, an offer to give me my old job back, and removing Tommy from the throne that I created…the [crap] will hit the fan and they'll be no stopping it – it's on!!!"
Ace has every right to be mad. Or is this drama all to spur tickets sales?
