NASA INSIGHT SPACECRAFT TO LAND ON MARS (LIVE STREAM)

You don't have to be a space geek to be excited about this!

A NASA spacecraft, the InSight, should land on Mars around 3 o'clock this afternoon. (Fingers crossed!)

If all goes according to plan, the Mars mission will streak into the planet's atmosphere at 12-thousand miles per hour, and will be slowed by retro rockets and a giant parachute as it makes its 77-mile descent to the ground.

The InSight lander will monitor seismic activity drill 16-feet underground, to give scientists a better understanding of how Mars evolved.
