The life of a seven-month-old golden retriever in Goochland, Virginia, was saved by emergency officials there after he fell down a 35-foot well.
The brave puppy, named Beasley, was at the bottom of the well for more than an hour, barking and splashing, while rescuers from all around the area worked to get him to the surface.
First, they dropped down an inflatable raft, so Beasley could rest. Then, a firefighter rappelled down and pulled him out.
Beasley was taken to a veterinary clinic, where he was treated for hypothermia and fluid around his lungs.
The bottom of a well was certainly a dangerous spot to be, but thanks to the quick actions and expertise of the emergency responders, Beasley is back home with his family and is expected to make a full recovery.
