Should things with Axl Rose not work out, AC/DC could turn to British singer Jenny Darren.
Taking the stage dressed as you would imagine a typical 68-year-old woman, she soon removed her sweater and dress to reveal a more appropriate outfit for her version of "Highway to Hell."
Jenny is no stranger to the band, having opened for them in 1977 as a member of the Stoney End. She tells Radio Times, “It was brilliant. I was with AC/DC in the afternoon for the sound check and I just looked at my band and I said, ‘We have to change the style of the music, guys, to fit in with this band. So at the end of it we were sounding a bit more like AC/DC. I loved them. And that’s why actually fundamentally I became a rock singer -- having to fit in to their style. That’s how it happened.”
Jenny's 1978 album Queen of Fools contained the original version of "Heartbreaker" before it became a hit for Pat Benatar.
