LISTEN: Star Wars-Beatles Parody

Palette-Swap Ninja, an overzealous bunch of Star Wars fans, have come up with a new way to entertain their fellow geeks this Thursday, which is Star Wars Day -- May the Fourth Be With You.

They've parodied every song on The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and released it as Princess Leia’s Stolen Death Star Plans. Palette-Swap Ninja members Dan Amrich and Jude Kelley say, "It’s the entire Beatles album as accurately as we could record it, only now it tells the story of Star Wars: A New Hope -- in order. We sweat the details on both sides in an effort to do both cultural milestones justice. We both grew up obsessed with Star Wars and surrounded by Beatles music. This whole project comes from a place of deep love and respect.”

The first Star Wars movie celebrates its 40th anniversary on May 25th, and Sgt. Pepper turns 50 on June 1st.
