Billy Joel's April show at New York's Madison Square Garden was Friday. As he has frequently done during his once-a-month residency there, he brought out a special guest.
Actor Kevin Spacey from the Netflix series House of Cards joined Billy for "New York State of Mind." While they sang, Spacey -- who is enough of a singer that he played Bobby Darin in the film Beyond the Sea -- took a selfie with Joel.
The two are longtime friends. Spacey honored Joel in 2014 when he was awarded the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song by the Library of Congress. They did "Piano Man" together.
Joel paid tribute to J. Geils, who died earlier in the week, by tossing a snippet of "Centerfold" into "River of Dreams."
Billy will next be at the Garden on May 25th.
