NEW LEGO SET HONORS WOMEN AT NASA

Lego set that celebrates the contributions of NASA's female pioneers will soon be available for children who dream of space and are interested in STEAM careers. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math careers.) 

The Washington Post says Lego plans to release a "Women of NASA" set. It was created as part of "Lego Ideas," which allows fans and users to come up with ideas for Lego sets. 

The Lego set will include:   

Sally Ride, the first American woman in space.   

Katherine Johnson, the mathematician and physicist who was portrayed by Taraji P. Henson in the movie "Hidden Figures."  

 Nancy Grace Roman, who is known as the "Mother of Hubble," the pioneering Hubble Space Telescope.   

Mae Jemison, the first African-American woman in space   

Margaret Hamilton, a pioneering computer scientist who developed the source codes and software that allowed the Apollo 11 mission to land on the Moon.
