HBO has landed exclusive U.S. television rights to the documentary David Bowie: The Last Five Years.
The film, which debuted last month on the BBC, weaves together rarely seen Bowie interviews, conversations with close friends such as producer Tony Visconti and audio from the Next Day and Blackstar sessions. HBO says the film offers “unprecedented access to Bowie’s closest friends and artistic collaborators” and serves as “a tribute to one of the greatest rock icons of all time.”
