When it was announced that Maroon 5 would perform as part of the halftime show at the Big Game, the band received alot of flak. Several other acts had declined to do the show, as a measure of solidarity to player Colin Kaepernick and his right to kneel in support of police brutality. A petition was even started to encourage Adam Levine and his crew to drop out of the halftime show. Up until now, the band had remained silent about this "controversy" but last night, Adam sat down with "Entertainment Tonight" and shared his thoughts.
Personally, I feel bad for Maroon 5. Getting asked to perform at the Big Game is one of the biggest honors any artist can ever receive. It's the biggest audience in the world, and for M5 to be getting dragged through the mud really makes me mad.
