Billy Idol gave fans a snippet of his upcoming documentary "Billy Idol Should Be Dead"! The clip shows Idol's thinking on how he wanted to change his sound after leaving Generation X, by combining of all things Disco and Punk, so he called on the services of famed Disco producer Giorgio Moroder to make his next album.
“Billy Idol Should Be Dead” is the new documentary that chronicles Idol’s rise from his early days in the UK Punk boom of the 70’s with his band Generation X, to his 80’s resurrection as a Pop Rock god with the advent of MTV. The film will also go deep into his substance abuse (thus the title), that kept him in the public eye when his music didn’t.
The film directed by Jonas Akerlund is out now in limited release, as is his new album “Dream Into It” which marks his first new music in a over a decade. Check out the trailer above and stream the new album below!
