The Crue Celebrate 45 Years Of Live Wire!

Motley Crue is celebrating 45 years of their debut EP “Live Wire”!

Record Store Day is on April 18, and the Crue are putting out vinyl with their debut album that’s been out of print for 45 years! The "Live Wire" EP will be available with newly created cover art on a 12-inch color vinyl.

"Live Wire" was originally a single, but expanded to an EP in 1982.

"The song is actually about domestic violence," says Nikki Sixx said about the song that came from his "relationship with my mother and these stepdads that used to beat me."

"Live Wire" was included on their debut album, "Too Fast For Love", which got the group signed to Elektra, who gave the album a wider release. The vinyl release comes just as the Crue gets ready to head out on their "The Return Of Carnival Of Sins" tour, which in turn is a celebration of the 20th anniversary of "Carnival Of Sins". The 33-city tour kicks off on July 17, in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, with Extreme and Tesla.
