So now Amazon’s getting into the Beatles documentary trend? Well, sort of, as the streaming service is coming out with a Paul McCartney documentary that covers his post Beatles time with his band Wings!
Now it was a while back when ABC and McCartney’s daughter Mary bade the documentary “Wingspan” that chronicled his run with the band from the breakup of The Beatles to the eventual end of Wings in the 80’s. The new documentary “Paul McCartney: Man On The Run” came out at the Telluride film festival last year and is now debuting on Amazon Prime. The film coincides with the release of the “Wings” boxed set and the book that also came with it “Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run.”
Man On The Run looks to have more archival footage of not just Paul, the band, and his time with Linda McCartney, but the end of The Beatles and his relationship with John Lennon, after the breakup.
