Apple TV+ is debuting a new documentary, "Bono: Stories of Surrender".
Out on May 30, the film is based on Bono's 2022 memoir Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story, plus the book's theater tour, directed by Andrew Dominik.
"Bono: Stories of Surrender will include never-before-seen footage from the Beacon Theatre shows in New York City, plus performances of U2 songs by Bono. That's just one version of the film — another one, Bono: Stories of Surrender (Immersive), will be available on Apple Vision Pro on the same day. This version is the first feature-length film available in Apple Immersive Video, a media format recorded in 8K with Spatial Audio, which results in a 180-degree video "that places viewers onstage with Bono and in the center of his story." according to a press release.
An updated paperback edition of the memoir will also be released with the film.
