The Doobie Brothers Drop Their New Single!

The Doobie Brothers released their new song with Michael McDonald!

"Learn To Let Go" is the fourth song off "Walk This Road," due out in June.

"Learn to Let Go" was cowritten by McDonald, who shares vocals on the song with Pat Simmons and Tom Johnston, and is the first for all of them together since 1980’s "One Step Closer".

"It's a song about what might be the hardest lesson we learn and one of the last things we do in this life," McDonald said.

The Doobie Brothers are touring North American in August following the release of their reunion album.

"We're so looking forward to the 2025 summer tour!" Patrick Simmons said in an official statement. "We'll be celebrating the release of our new album, Walk This Road, and we're excited to be performing new songs from the record."

The band have confirmed they're releasing a new album in 2025.

"We’re currently celebrating almost 56 years together as a band. 55 years since we released our very first self titled album The Doobie Brothers," Patrick Simmons wrote on Facebook. "It’s been a long winding road since those early days but we’re still working together, doing our best to remain creative, and looking forward to bringing our music to you folks out there again next year. Here’s the goal we’ve set for 2025, this train keeps rollin’ down the track and we’re almost ready to release our new album Walk This Road sometime after the first of the year.”

"Walk The Road," will broght back McDonald, whose last Doobie Brothers album, Southbound, was released in 2014, but that album featured reimagined versions of their classic tunes.

"We have 10 new songs sung by Tom, Michael, and Pat. The three of us wrote songs and collaborated together. We had a lot of fun recording it and we feel very proud of the results.”

Welcome Back Doobies!
