Jon Anderson dropped another single from his "True," his upcoming album.
Recorded with The Band Geeks, his new band of hired guns, “True Messenger,” is the second single he’s released. This is another song from the album that, Anderson has been playing on his summer tour, along with “Thank God.”
True, will be released August 23rd, and it'll mark the first with The Band Geeks, which is available for preorder.
Jon Anderson released the video for, "Shine On," a month ago.
Shine On is the first single from Anderson's upcoming "TRUE," which will be released on his new record label, Frontiers Records, as The Band Geeks, have toured with Anderson the past two years, now they feature with Jon on "Shine On" which was produced by Anderson and Band Geeks bass player Richie Castellano who plays with The Blue Oyster Cult.
In 2014, Castellano began a podcast called Band Geek with Richie Castellano, where he would feature a revolving group of his friends and special guests, to cover classic rock and pop songs, which featured songs by the band Yes. This caught the attention of Jon Anderson which led to Anderson and the Band Geeks touring in 2023, as Anderson was out of Yes by then.
Kept out of Yes by the band themselves, Anderson is now touring throughout the summer with The Band Geeks on their Yes: Epics, Classics and More tour.
So for Jon it's to Hell with Yes, cause papa's got a brand new band.
