A Romanian Metallica fan club called 'RoLoad' posted it, and they say it's from a web feed that had working audio. It's weird that the sound would've been cool online but not on TV - but whatever.
Rumor has it that James' microphone was off because a stagehand unplugged something under the stage for some reason, but that hasn't been confirmed.
Regardless, LARS ULRICH isn't hung up on it. He dismissed it as a "slight technical snafu," and instead talked about how thrilled they were to work with Gaga.
He said, quote, "[She' the] quintessential perfect fifth member of this band. Her voice, her attitude, her outlook on everything is so awesome . . . We've already started fast-forwarding to the next chapter when we can do more . . . we're just getting started."
