A 43-year-old woman in Brooklyn was crossing the street recently when she got hit by a school bus.
It was a short bus, not a full-sized one. She was trying to run across the street while it was turning, and got clotheslined by one of the side mirrors.
Here's security footage where it looks like she gets run over by one of the wheels, but luckily that didn't happen. It just pushed her about ten feet down the road while she was pinned under the bumper. Which is probably the only reason she survived.
She ended up with a broken collarbone, a broken leg, and four broken ribs. The driver got cited for failure to yield. It's not clear if they'll end up facing any other charges. (Caution: this video might be hard to watch for some)
