Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka Has Died

Pro wrestling legend JIMMY "SUPERFLY" SNUKA died Sunday after a battle with cancer.  He was 73. His signature move, and the reason for his nickname, was the way he would jump off the top rope onto his opponents. Back in the '70s and '80s, it was pretty unique.

And fans REALLY lost their minds in 1983, when he jumped off the top of a STEEL CAGE onto DON MURACO at Madison Square Garden. See video below.

Another career highlight was his feud with "ROWDY" RODDY PIPER . Snuka was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996.

But he was also dogged by the death of his mistress Nancy Argentino in 1983. She died of a traumatic brain injury, and it was ruled accidental. But her family won a wrongful death lawsuit against Snuka in 1985.

The case was reopened in 2015, and Snuka was charged with third-degree murder. But charges were dropped this month, when a judge ruled him unfit to stand trial.
