LISA'S ANIMAL TALES: HUGE LIZARD FOUND IN STAFFORD COUNTY

(Stafford, VA) -- Stafford County Animal Control is giving a temporary home to a big lizard found in a local backyard. 

A homeowner in south Stafford called the sheriff's office after the tegu lizard was spotted on Saturday. 

The lizard species is native to Central and South America and is known for being docile despite growing up to four feet long. 

The unclaimed lizard has already been dubbed Dwayne "The Croc" Johnson by the sheriff's office.
