It's been a beautiful week out at Commanders training camp in Ashburn!
The Commanders are traveling to Miami for a joint practice with the Dolphins on Thursday. They'll play each other in a preseason matchup on Saturday night at 7. You can hear the game on BIG 100 with pregame coverage starting at 5.
One of the players I had a chance to catch up with is defensive tackle Daron Payne. He loves the new vibe and intensity this season at training camp. He'll continue to be an integral part of the Commanders defense.
After we talked football, I got Daron to take a few minutes away from practice to complete my 60-second Drill.
We learn a lot about what he's like off the field, including that he's a dog person, has an impressive collection of remote-control cars, and became a girl dad during the offseason!
