Some more rare Beatles recordings are on the auction block.
Titled The Beatles Derek Taylor Never-Before-Heard Collection of Lost Beatles Recordings, the six cassettes are being offered by GottaHaveRockAndRoll.com. The late Taylor was their publicist.
Among the recordings are:
- Rehearsals for the Sgt. Pepper album at John Lennon's estate
- One From the Nursery, an unreleased John Ono Lennon album
- A George Harrison unreleased album with The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band
- Versions of Harrison's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" -- one with Jimmy Page on guitar and the other with Alvin Lee of Ten Years After, also on guitar
- Interviews with the four Beatles, including one from 1969 where John interviews Yoko Ono and questions her motives for being with him while also discussing very personal and revealing matters
- An early demo of Lennon's "Dear Prudence"
The auction runs for two more days and the minimum bid of $30,000 has yet to be made. The tapes are being sold as collectibles and as an artifact only, without copyright. Any reproduction is strictly prohibited.
