I had a great chat with Ellen Shannon, Executive Director for the National Capital Area Chapter of AFSP.
We talk about the Fairfax and DC walks, the honor bead ceremonies, and the initiatives to get vital programs in the hands of all who need them, including members of our military.
Ellen also discusses the new programs that AFSP offers, and the progress that has been made in preventing suicide, including the formation of a national suicide and crisis lifeline at 988.
Check out the interview below, and hope to see you on Oct. 1 in Fairfax!
