Aerosmith's Peace Out farewell tour has bid farewell after three shows as Steven Tyler has been sidelined with vocal issues.
In a statement he says, "I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next 30 days. I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show [in Elmont, New York] that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.”
The affected dates are:
- September 12th in Toronto -- rescheduled for February 21st
- September 15th in Chicago -- February 14th
- September 18th in Detroit -- January 29th
- September 21st in Cleveland -- February 29th
- September 24th in Raleigh, NC -- February 26th
- September 27th in Washington, D.C. -- February 17th

All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend. Fans with questions regarding refunds are asked to reach out to their point of purchase.
The tour will resume on October 11th in Tampa, Florida.
Breaking down on tour is nothing new for Tyler.
- In 1998 their Nine Lives tour was delayed numerous times due to injuries to him and drummer Joey Kramer.
- The 2005-2006 Rockin' the Joint Tour was cut short when Tyler had to undergo throat surgery.
- Their 2009 tour saw them cancel seven shows when Tyler injured his leg, which was followed by the rest of the tour being canceled after he fell off the stage in Sturgis, South Dakota.
- The last four shows of their 2017-2018 Aero-Vederci Baby! Tour were canceled when Tyler had to undergo a medical procedure.
- And last year he found himself back in rehab, which caused the cancellation of the last five shows of their Deuces are Wild Las Vegas residency.
This is the second major tour to be sidelined this month following Bruce Springsteen pulling the plug due to an ulcer.
