With this year being the 55th anniversary of the formation of Led Zeppelin, writers of England's Mojo magazine have compiled what they feel are the band's "50 Greatest Songs."
"Kashmir," off their sixth album, 1975's Physical Graffiti, tops the list. "In the Evening," off their final album, 1979's In Through the Out Door, bookends the list at 50.
Led Zeppelin 2 and Physical Graffiti yielded the most songs with nine each. They were followed Led Zeppelin 3 and 4 with eight each; their self-titled 1968 debut with seven; Houses of the Holy with six; Presence with two; and In Through the Out Door with one.
Over the eight studio albums Zeppelin recorded prior to the 1980 death of drummer John Bonham, they released 73 songs.
