Billy Gibbons, Chuck Leavell, Paul Rodgers, Slash and Warren Haynes were among those who paid tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd and their guitarist Gary Rossington, who died last month, on Sunday's CMT Music Awards on CBS.
Also on the stage were country stars Cody Johnson, LeAnn Rimes and Wynonna Judd as they ran through "Simple Man" and "Sweet Home Alabama."
In the audience taking it all in were Skynyrd members Johnny Van Zant and Rickey Medlocke, along with Rossington’s widow, Dale Krantz Rossington and the late Ronnie Van Zant’s widow Judy.
