Dolly Parton has revealed some of the rock stars that will appear on her upcoming album Rock Star, and it's a bunch of A-listers.
Parton says that Paul McCartney, Steven Tyler, Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty and Steve Perry are all on the album. It includes a cover of The Rolling Stones (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," and Parton was asked on ABC's The View if she was going to get Mick Jagger to sing on the Stones cover. She responded, "I'm doin' my best to try to get him on, but I did his song anyway. I think Pink and Brandi Carlile are gonna be singing on that particular song with me."
Parton also covered Elton John’s “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me,” which she hopes to get him to sing on, Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird," and Prince’s "Purple Rain.”
