MARYLANDERS WRITE & RECORD SONG IN SUPPORT OF UKRAINE (Listen)

Paulius Klimas, a North Potomac resident has written a song and speech for Ukraine.

Two friends helped him write the song, and the studio band “Paulius & Friends,” recorded it at Dynamic Recording Studio in Rochester, NY.

You can listen to both original versions at pauliusklimas.com.

Volodymyr Sukhin, from Kiev, Ukraine, who lives in Columbia, MD, has recorded a new version of Putin’s War. You can listen to this new version at stayfreeukraine.org.

Klimas is a Lithuanian American activist and songwriter/lyricist. The KGB arrested Klimas’ father during WWII and deported his paternal grandparents to Siberia. He has a personal message for Vladimir Putin: “Go Home Now!”

Klimas is using music and the written word to combat Russian propaganda. His book, Yellow Green Red: A Story of Faith details how faith enabled him to publicize the plight of then Soviet occupied Lithuania in the 1980s and 1990s. (You can view a video of Klimas’ media interviews also at pauliuklimas.com.)
