Two Women Busted After Wearing Elderly Granny Disguises to Get Vaccines

Two Florida women who disguised themselves as elderly grannies were busted while attempting to get their COVID vaccines.

Dr. Raul Pino, director of the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, says the two women were caught wearing bonnets, gloves, glasses, "the whole thing" at a vaccination site on Wednesday.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office says the two women were aged 34 and 44. The state is currently prioritizing vaccines for residents 65 and older and those that meet other criteria.

The women used false dates of birth on the vaccination registrations that did not match their drivers licenses although the names matched. It's unclear how the two were able to slip by to get their first dose.

Pino says this is not the first case of somebody trying to jump the queue to get vaccinated and gave a few examples, including one man who used his elderly father's name.

"As we are engaged in this process of trying to move people quickly, some people could squeeze in, so it's probably higher than we suspect," he said when asked of how many people he thought were trying to get vaccinated early.

The deputies issued the women trespass warnings but no other law enforcement action was taken.
