An Uber Eats and DoorDash driver posted a video to social media after he became frustrated and emotional over the lack of tips some people are giving him while he tries to make enough money to pay rent.
In the clip, he says he spent 45 minutes on a single food delivery because the customer refused to meet him outside and he couldn't find parking. He says eventually he ended up having to pay $3 to park just to drop off the food. On top of that, the person only tipped $1.50, while Uber paid him $2.50, meaning he spent 45 minutes to make $1.
The man states he has been struggling with homelessness and needs money to prove he is good for rent to live in a place and will come up well short at the rate he is making money with Uber Eats and DoorDash.
