A 70-year-old Ohio man was sentenced to 22 years in prison after the court found him guilty of sexually assaulting two children at a daycare his wife operated in their home.
The man, Terry McFadden, pleaded guilty to the two charged filed against him. The two girls are sisters and were 4 and 6 years old when they told their parents what McFadden had done to them.
Franklin County Judge Julie Lynch delivered the sentence in court after the victims' parents delivered lengthy statements. She is visibly furious at McFadden as she makes remarks before announcing the time he will spend in prison.
"This court is so sick and tired of seeing adults ruin and abuse children," Lynch says, and described the victims as "one step from being babies."
"You can’t even know what damage you’ve done," she told McFadden, calling his actions "mind-boggling."
McFadden is not eligible for early release.
