KFC is looking deeply into offering plant-based chicken alternatives at all of their stores in the near future. And to test out the new products, KFC did a test run by offering the "Beyond Fried Chicken" at a store in Atlanta.
To say it was popular would be a massive understatement. According to someone on Twitter, there was a two-hour wait to get into the restaurant. Not even sure if that counts the insane line of cars trying to get there as seen in the above video.
The store sold out of the fake chicken in less than five hours apparently. One reviewer says the fake nuggets are "mediocre." Another reviewer says the Beyond Fried Chicken had the taste of real chicken if comparing it to crappy frozen chicken nuggets from the grocery store.
