A drunk 59-year-old Florida man was arrested after he allegedly stole a courtesy scooter from a St. Petersburg Walmart and drove it to a Wawa convenience store a mile away.
John Davis was tracked down at the Wawa after it was reported he had stolen the scooter. Police found Davis trying to recharge the battery which had died on its one-mile trek.
When police questioned him, Davis reportedly admitted to stealing the scooter.
Davis' mugshot shows what appears to be an injured eye and lip. It's unknown how he sustained the injuries.
Davis has been charged with grand theft. He is being held on a $2,000 bond.
