These Creepy Dolls Keep Showing Up in Two Missouri Towns

There are two things originally meant to entertain children that are now forever creepy AF: clowns and dolls.

Someone in Jefferson County, Missouri is creeping out residents of two small towns by placing these realistic, life-size dolls of children all over the place in highly-visible areas. They appear real enough that multiple calls were made to police after the dolls were mistaken for actual children who look like they are crying.

None of many dolls found have faces. Some have their hands sewn to the featureless heads while others have no heads at all. Some were placed at busy intersections: leaning against light poles and on stop signs. Others were placed in front of businesses.

The person leaving the dolls around has yet to be identified although police say there is nothing that this person can be charged with. But one officer says he hopes that no one enters traffic on foot to approach one of the dolls and gets struck by a car.
