Family Dollar Store Employee Pulls Gun on Customer Over a Return (VIDYA)

An assistant manager at a Family Dollar store near Milwaukee was cited for disorderly conduct after she pulled a gun out and pointed it at a customer who threatened her.

According to a police report, a customer had bought some pants at the store, then the customer's daughter later came into the store and asked for a refund for the pants and other items her mother bought. The assistant manager and the daughter got into an argument. The customer claimed the assistant manager "had an attitude, and always does" and told her to "go up the street to get her refund from a different store" after she became hostile towards the assistant manager.

The daughter, according to the report, started "loudly swearing" and threatened to beat up the assistant manager. The daughter attempted to get behind the counter and said, "We gonna fight on the G, 'cause I'm a thug." The Family Dollar employee then drew a handgun and pointed it at the woman and told her to get out of her face.

When police arrived after the incident, they noted that the assistant manager who had the gun was in possession of a valid concealed carry permit and claimed she kept it with her at work especially when working closing shifts by herself. Both her and the customer were issued citations for disorderly conduct.
